TRANSITION PUTNEY – Tick Talk – Take 2: Lyme Disease and the Resilience of a Species, Dan Foster, Wednesday, July 3, 7 – 8:30 p.m, Putney Library
Dan Foster first tested positive for Lyme disease 22 years ago. This talk (a repeat of his June 18th talk, due to popular demand!) is about Dan’s odyssey with a super bacteria that he believes he will soon be rid of.
Though he was treated promptly after his tick bite bull’s eye rash, he has had a variety of symptoms over the last 20+ years, but was able to manage them all pretty well until last year.
With a serious re-infection last October, he was forced to catch up on the research and learn about current trends in treatment that actually can lead to getting rid of Lyme disease for good.
In this presentation Dan will share what he has learned about Lyme disease during this process. He will also provide plenty of humor to take the edge off the seriousness of this disease.
