Looks like Donald Trump just threatened to nuke North Korea,
Quote: “North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States.
They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.“
Kim Jong Un is cruel and dangerous but not crazy according to Jim Michaels of USA TODAY ( Aug. 2, 2017)
“Kim Jong Un’s pursuit of nuclear weapons, incendiary rhetoric and odd appearance often cast the North Korean leader as an erratic, even deranged dictator.
Yet analysts and South Korean government officials who track North Korea closely describe Kim as a clever and rational, if brutal, figure who has solidified control over his country since assuming power in 2011.
Developing nuclear weapons that threaten the United States is his insurance policy against being overthrown by a U.S.-led coalition, said Joo Seong-ha, a defector who was imprisoned in North Korea before escaping to South Korea.
A nuclear weapons program is “the most powerful bargaining chip that North Korea has,” said Joo.”
Where do we go from here???
Perhaps Backwards
Correction: but North Korea threatened to attack the United States in retaliation for sanctions put on them by the UN.
“analysts and South Korean government officials who track North Korea closely describe Kim as a clever and rational, if brutal, figure…”
The guy’s an a**hole. He’s nuts. He’s the worst leader, the most unclever, brutal, person who could ever be in charge. He throws his opponents to dogs who eat them alive.
“A nuclear weapons program is “the most powerful bargaining chip that North Korea has,” said Joo.”
If he were to aim a nuclear weapon at the U.S. and shoot it off, North Korea would be obliterated from the face of the Earth.
A no win situation.
Heads, you lose. Tails, I lose, too.
If he were to aim a nuclear weapon at the U.S. and shoot it off, North Korea would be obliterated from the face of the Earth.
(And so would Seoul and much of the rest of So. Korea)
What happens next?

North Korea is ‘carefully examining’ a plan to strike U.S. Pacific territory Guam with missiles after Trump says the North will be met with ‘fire and fury like the world has never seen’ if it threatens U.S.

08 Aug 2017 | North Korea said it is ‘carefully examining’ a plan to strike the U.S. Pacific territory of Guam with missiles, just hours after President Donald Trump told the country that any threat to the U.S. would be met with ‘fire and fury.’ A spokesman for the Korean People’s Army, in a statement carried by the North’s state-run KCNA news agency, said Wednesday the strike plan will be ‘put into practice in a multi-current and consecutive way any moment’ once leader Kim Jong Un makes a decision. In another statement citing a different military spokesman, North Korea also said it could carry out a pre-emptive operation if the U.S. showed signs of provocation. Earlier Pyongyang said it was ready to give Washington a ‘severe lesson’ with its strategic nuclear force in response to any U.S. military action. The statement from the North comes after Trump told the country’s leader Tuesday that additional threats of violence against the U.S. ‘will be met with fire and the fury like the world has never seen.’
This could turn out rather badly for everybody.
Pastors laid hands on the Donald in the Oval Office

(wasingtonpost.com) Texas megachurch pastor Robert Jeffress, one of President Trump’s evangelical advisers who preached the morning of his inauguration, has released a statement saying the president has the moral authority to take out North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
“When it comes to how we should deal with evil doers, the Bible, in the book of Romans, is very clear: God has endowed rulers full power to use whatever means necessary — including war — to stop evil,” Jeffress said. “In the case of North Korea, God has given Trump authority to take out Kim Jong Un.”
Jeffress is no stranger to controversy. He has said in the past that former president Barack Obama paved the way for the antichrist and drew wide attention for calling Mormonism a cult during the 2012 Republican primaries. Jeffress knows his comments on North Korea could be considered controversial, even among fellow evangelicals.
Jeffress last met with Trump in July when a group of pastors laid hands on the president in the Oval Office.
Deeply troubling..
Scary because this would actually benefit Trump regardless of how it goes down… If he were able to provoke Kim Jong Un to attack first, it would be in his best interest and his comments seem to be tailored to do just that. And at the end of the day we know his puppeteers would be more than happy to let him play scapegoat if it comes to that.
The paragraph below is something I literally just read yesterday on Daily Kos:
Trump could regain public standing through the rally-round-the-flag effect that usually occurs following a domestic attack or at the outset of a war. A miniature version of that dynamic was on display in April, when Trump launched a small missile strike on Syria, garnering widespread praise in the media for his newfound stature. The 9/11 attacks elevated George W. Bush’s approval ratings for three years, long enough for his party to gain seats in the 2002 midterms and for Bush, two years later, to win what is still the Republican Party’s only national-vote plurality victory since 1988.
Both sides clearly see...
An unstable, unpredictable, irrational enemy leader. An enemy country that prioritizes nukes and weapons over helping their citizens. Each is threatened by missiles that can reach their country.

One side said today:
“Sound dialogue is not possible with such a guy bereft of reason and only absolute force can work on him.”
Which side do you think uttered these words?
KCNA
(Washington Post) Trump’s goal with two days of tough talk was to scare North Korea, Kim, the commander, put that idea quickly to rest. He called Trump’s rhetoric a “load of nonsense” that was aggravating a grave situation.
“Sound dialogue is not possible with such a guy bereft of reason and only absolute force can work on him,” the KNCA report quoted him saying.

The Prime Targets
I would like to publicly propose to President Kim Jong Un that he begin his own campaign of fire and fury by taking out Trump Towers around the globe.
Locked and Loaded
That would make for a fascinating and very personal war, if the only damage done was to Trump Tower buildings (and perhaps an occasional golf course conquest).
Would it be proper, then, to respond by using the US military, or should we require private mercenaries if it is a private property war?
Mercenaries
Gotta be mercenaries. Gives you plausible deniability.
BTW, we need to know what kind of man we’re dealing with:
Kim Jong-Un could walk at the age of 3 weeks and could talk by his eighth week.
He was able to drive a car by the age of three.
He acquired an early fondness for yachting, and at the age of nine he won a yacht race against the owner of a foreign yacht company.
He is not only extremely popular in Korea; he is so popular around the globe that all other countries celebrated his recent birthday.
These are things actually claimed on state run propaganda media about North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un
