Cassandra Holloway -Write-in for District 3 Town Meeting Rep

My name is Cassandra Holloway and I am running as a write-in  to be a town rep for District 3. Please consider voting for me (March 1st in the Municipal  Building 7A-7P). There is a list outside of the voting area with all the information about who is from each district including write-ins (my name will be there). It was suggested that a phone photo be taken of the list so to have the info needed when voting.

For those who don’t know me well or at all,  I would like to tell you a bit about myself. I had lived in Brattleboro for over ten years and moved back about eight months ago. I have worked in Brattleboro for over five years. This community holds a place in my heart much like a close loved one.  My strongest passion is to help disenfranchised people in this community to be empowered. I will always vote with this in mind. I vote from a place of integrity and compassion. When I vote, I consider impact, achievability,  cost-effectiveness and/or sustainability. I have my M.S. in Management from Marlboro Graduate School and have worked in social services for over ten years. I also previously served on the board of Brattleboro Area Affordable Housing, BrattleMasters, and Vermont Theater Company.

    Thanks for telling us.

Most town meeting reps don’t seem to bother to tell those they want to represent where they stand, or how they approach voting. (A flaw in out Representative Town meeting system, in my view. How can voters make good choices with little or no information? They can’t.)

It’s refreshing to see a candidate a) introduce themselves, and b) ask for a vote.
