The Vermont Public Service Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, October 21 at 7 PM at Vermont Interactive Television, located in Room 125 at Brattleboro Union High School. The public is invited to attend the hearing and comment on how well Comcast is meeting the region’s telecommunications needs as a cable provider. This is an opportunity to provide feedback as part of the renewal process for Comcast’s Certificate of Public Good (CPG) with the State of Vermont, and occurs once every 11 years.
The public may comment on any aspect of Comcast’s service. Brattleboro Community Television (BCTV) encourages residents to participate and to comment on ways that BCTV’s channels could provide more value to local residents if supported by Comcast’s infrastructure, such as providing High Definition channels and listing local programs individually on the cable guide so they can be “DVR’d” — searched and recorded using the remote.
Written comments will be accepted until November 1. Send your comments, referencing Docket #8301, via mail or email to all three addresses below.
