EYE is an inter-disciplinary, stratified story about a passionate photographer– Rowland Scherman of LIFE magazine, who followed his path to remarkable people and events in the 1960s– from the inception of the Peace Corps and JFK to Dylan, The March On Washington, the Beatles, LBJ, RFK 1968, iconic celebrities, war protests, and the Woodstock Festival.
In addition to an inspiring fly-on-wall history, it’s also about creativity, change, journalistic professionalism, and making sense of the quickness of life. The film features insightful interviews with Mr. Scherman, music legend Judy Collins (his 1969 LIFE cover story), and the highly-respected LIFE magazine journalist and PEOPLE founder Richard B. Parking for evening Library events: If you plan to attend an evening event at the Library, the Municipal Parking Lot behind the Library is available for free parking after 6PM. It is a short walk to the rear entrance of the Library and there is an elevator to the First Floor.
