Qigong is an ancient form of meditative movement that is over 5,000 years old. In China, qigong is one of the secrets to living a long and healthy life. The simple movements induce a calm, meditative state that relaxes the mind, improves one’s health, and raises the spirit. It is also an excellent form of preventative healthcare while treating major illnesses and minor ailments. There have been numerous accounts among dedicated students of qigong who have successfully treated high blood pressure, insomnia, diabetes, cancer, multiple sclerosis, sports injuries and more. There are no special requirements or age limits to practice qigong, only a willingness to open your mind and learn.
