A Presidential Candidate – Lindsey Graham

Lindsey Graham has decided the time is right to become president.

“Some of you have known me since I grew up in the back of that bar in that building, but no one here, including me, expected to hear me say, I’m Lindsey Graham, and I’m running for president of the United States.”

    Make what stop?

    As I got older I acquired too many reasons to dislike and disrespect the American people. The first time was when, as a young Vietnam war protester, we were told, “America, love or leave it.” Even at seventeen it was clear to me that those creeps were in the wrong, and we protesters were in the right.

    However, this need for presidential longer and longer bitter and divisive campaigns really make me sick(er). I won’t live to see a “better” America if it ever happens, but I surely regret that I got stuck in this current one.

    The only saving feature of my life was that I had the real pleasure of living in the era of Sex, Drugs and Rock n Roll, from 1964 – 1979. Without having that wonderful era in the best years of my youth under my belt, I wouldn’t dislike this country, I would hate it. And that’s saying something. It would take a lot for me to even think hatred, much less actually put it into play.

        Of course, I see the humor behind your question. It did make me smile.

        Yet, there are some people on iBrattleboro, who couldn’t do any worse as president and might even make a better one.

        However, since the U.S. electoral process is one of the most corrupt in the world, one better have the wealth and resources to get on 50 state ballots, and to bring significant power to bear on the media and lockdown the corruption of the entrenched Republican and Democrat Two Party System.
