  Hope and Change

  He caught my attention by saying he would immediately end “warrantless surveillance” by the National Security Agency.

  He’s also opposed to Common Core, wants to abolish the Affordable Care Act, would like to audit the Fed, limit terms of career politicians, and simplify the IRS. Seems like a libertarian that’s trying to wrap around and appeal to the far left, too. Interesting.

  Of course, he is also Rand Paul… : )

  He Also:

  …is “100% pro life” believing that legal personhood begins at fertilization

  …”wants abortion illegal except “doctor’s discretion in life-threatening cases”

  …said that same-sex marriage “offends myself and a lot of people” and described the acceptance of same-sex marriage as a “moral crisis”

  …”does not believe in legalizing the recreational use of drugs like marijuana and cocaine and only supports medical marijuana”

  …”opposes all forms of gun control as a violation of Second Amendment rights”

  …”introduced a bill to “include restricting the ability of the Environmental Protection Agency and other Federal agencies to “impinge upon states’ power over land and water use”

  …”suggested that states should not require parents to vaccinate their children because parents should have the freedom to make that decision for their children”

  …”concedes a role for American armed forces abroad, including permanent foreign military bases”

  If this ‘man’ is best we have for the presidency, then is Raul Paul’s own primitive vernacular, ‘god help this country…’

    Announcement = disqualification

    Anyone who wants the job is disqualified, in my view.

    Desiring the relatively low paying position means that one is in it for something else. But they aren’t honest and don’t tell us their real aspirations. They expect us to believe they want to help the American people.

    Whenever you hear the phrase “American people” substitute the word “I” instead. Politicians seem to replace the singular with the more expansive when talking about what they, personally, want.

    (I’m still a fan of randomocracy, where a name is drawn at random.)

      I actually like that as a method of selection. All adults are automatically entered in the draw.

      It can’t do worse than the creeps the electorate regurgitates each election.

  Suspended

  No longer a candidate for president. Will focus on running for the Senate.

  (Good advocate for privacy rights, wherever he may end up.)
