A circut (or some kind of wiring) that delivers WVEW’s signal to the transmitter boogied to our music a little too hard and got completely fried. It’s all fixed and our over the air broadcasts are back.
Today (as with most days) our all volunteer community radio station has a very full schedule of programming for you to enjoy. If you live within the range of our (over the air) broadcasts, you can get a show on the station too. Check out our website for more information – www.wvew.org.
If you like what we do, if you like any of our shows, please consider making a donation to the station. WVEW is financed by underwriting, memberships in our non-profit, an occasional grant, and donations from our listeners. There is a Pay Pal button on our webpage (which accepts debit and credit cards) wvew.org. Checks may be mailed to Brattleboro Community Radio, P.O. Box 653, Brattleboro, VT 05302.
Thank You!
New schedules?
Are there printed schedules out and about to pick up?
Note to DJ’s… we sometimes hear you say ” it looks like no one is listening” when counting streaming listeners. Do remember that some of us are indeed listening on radios, at home and in the car, and aren’t being counted by computers. : )
Also, in general, there are some great new shows that I’ve been discovering. Friday evening has become reliably listenable. There is a late night improv/theater show that I’ve caught and laughed at. Almost all of Saturday is a pleasure. And the week is filled with friends and familiar shows that keep continuing to please.
A great mix of all ages, styles, and points of view. I encourage everyone who has their dial stuck on one of the other stations to listen in. It’s always changing and, for some time now, improving.
Print schedules
Our last print schedule came out at the beginning of January. It’s printed on winter white paper and can be found around town. It was also distributed at a WVEW table at three different Winter Farmer’s Markets. It’s more or less accurate, but there have been several additions since it was printed. A couple of the shows Chris just mentioned, for instance, are new and aren’t on it.
Things always change, usually immediately after the print edition hits the street. This one stayed accurate for 6 days.
There are more new shows and several changes coming up. One of our Thursday evening programs, ‘Blackbeard’s Revenge’, is going on hiatus at the end of the month. So, on April the 2nd, ‘The Juke Joint’ will move up an hour and start at 8pm. That late night improv/theater show Chris mentioned, called “Real People”, will change to a start time of 10pm. Just remember that’s not until April the 2nd.
By the way, the schedule on our website is out of date. We’re hoping to have it current in another week or so.
We’re expecting to put out a new print schedule for the May Gallery Walk. Our costs have increased so much this year that it really depends on whether or not we can afford to do it.
Thank You and Best Wishes.
Thanks!
Thanks for the schedule update.
Real People – that’s the one. Rather absurd at times, it seems to feature interviews with special guests, such as the illusionist who had broken his limbs just prior to the show and could only explain his tricks rather than show them. On the radio.
Remember to support local media, folks who like local media! And tune in to real radio at 107.7fm.

Missed ya!
I hope the donations are coming in, you provide a great service!
