Hey, all you travelers out there: Anyone know the most expedient way to get to Brattleboro via air from the west coast ? Is flying to Boston and then taking the shuttle the best way? Thanks!

Flying to Boston would be the cheapest but who wants to deal with Logan. Your best bet would be to fly to Hartford (Bradley). Even Manchester, NH would be better than Boston.

Bradley
I second Bob’s suggestion. Logan is a mess at the best of times.
Another way?
Anyone try going to NYC or Newark, then take the train? Or are those more expensive airports?
Getting to NYC
We find that NYC and Nwk are often cheaper than Bos and certainly cheaper than Hartford (at least for int’l flights). But the drive to and through the NYC metro area is always terrible, nearly twice as long as to Boston , with crazy drivers crazy roads crazy atmosphere; makes the trip to Boston feel like a walk in the woods in comparison.
A good way to get around that it to drive to New Haven and grab the MetroNorth commuter train. A quick and easy 2 hr drive down I-91, ending before the real madness starts, with easy access and good parking. Since it is a commuter line, it runs frequently and pretty-much round the clock, and is relatively cheap – $14 the last time we did it, much less expensive than Amtrak from Bratt. It brings you to midtown Manhattan, just like Amtrak. From there, local transport to any of the airports.
Same thing in reverse for a trip back to here.
Of course, it does take time and wherewithal to negotiate the public transport, but it is one of the cheapest ways to the NYC airports from here, and probably the most sane.
