It's time to put air in my tires. Since it is impractical to try them all, I thought I'd ask you for your opinions on local area air pumps.
Has any service station out there installed any new, innovative air pump machines? Have there been any technologiocal advancements in recent years? Where is the best place to fill tires? Any good deals?
Up until now I often stop in at one of the stations near Exit 3, but I don't have to go there if there is a better option.
Does anyone have experience using a phone from Net 10?
If so, can you rate the reception and coverage around town?
Does anyone know of resources to facilitate an honest discussion with a naturopath for a patient who prefers to keep it "in the family," rather than making a formal complaint?
When I moved in to the town of Brattleboro in April, I went to the parking enforcement office to find out about the parking rules on my street. Carol Coulombe in that office said don't worry about unless there is snow and not mentioning the winter parking ban. Well apparently Officer Hamilton went on a ticketing spree last night and I woke to a parking ticket and not a flake of snow.
Yesterday, I was called by "VT Opinion Survey" with what was quite obviously a push poll from Entergy, owners of Vermont Yankee. I am a sucker for polls and had a fun time scoring Entergy on topics such as "trust worthy" and "transparency." After about 20 minutes, the caller repeated the same initial questions and asked if, as a result of the call, I had changed my mind on any of the topics.
Anyone else out there get a call?
I know this is a very long shot but thought I'd give it a try. My son's had a game in the 80s called "Crossbows and Catapults" which they loved. We were trying to find one of these for a reasonable price. EBay and Amazon have several ranging from $150 to $275 ....ridiculous.
So, I'm wondering if somewhere in the diverse land of ibrattleboro someone might have one of these languishing in their attic? As I said, I realize the chances are slim but thought it was worth a try. I'm happy to pay a reasonable price for it. Thanks!
We are in need of a snow plower in Brattleboro. Any good suggestions? Tight driveway, so large equipment may not work. Thanks!
I took my young sons up to the Retreat Tower this past Tuesday -- it was their first visit. I've never been inside, but have heard that it is opened to the public now & then. Does anyone know if there are fixed dates that it's open, or where one can find out when it will be open? The boys are dying to have a look inside and climb to the top for a view of the area.
I am looking for ideas for someone to rake my yard and do some light gardening,
Thanks, we are located downtown. Robin
I am looking for 2 cords of dry firewod. I'm a bit late this year and I know that most of the dry wood is gone. Anyone know anyone who has some?
I am having a yard sale this weekend (Saturday)on Western Avenue, household stuff. Is anyone in the Western Avenue/Tree Streets neighborhood having one also? I am wondering if we could combine them into a multi-family sale to improve traffic? Thanks.
I'm about to swap out our old car for a slightly less old car, and the newer one is a 5-speed manual transmission. Driving manual doesn't bother me, but my manual driving was also done long ago in a flat state - Florida. Hills are a bit new to me, and I'd like some advice.
I am located in Brattleboro and looking for someone who can do relatively simple handyman type work. Right now I need shades hung throughout my house-17 of them. Thanks!
I've a weeklong visitor coming and need ideas of where to take an older, low key guy with walking problems. Ideas please!?
Thanks in advance!
With everything digital, what do the kids sell when they need some quick cash nowadays?
In the olden days of, say, the 1990s, we had physical CD’s, albums, books and such that cold be sold relatively easily for cash. The quick cash would often help us young folk survive a few more days until payday.
Increasingly, everything is on hard drives. What do young people do now when they need a few dollars to smooth their cash flow issues?
