Looking For Primary Doctor Near Brattleboro

I am looking for a primary care doctor. Female is preferred, but will consider a male if he listens to and respects women. Would like someone who practices integrative medicine, i.e. homeopathy and naturopathy, but with an MD or DO degree.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

A Trash Collection Question

Several questions, actually:

Will trash be collected on Wednesday for A households, or will it be next week?

Is there a specific bucket to be used for compost, as is compost collected every week?

Which colored bags are for which product, and must they be in containers, or free standing?

Thanks!

Dover?

Does anyone know if Dover is OK?

He used to post regularly, but seems to have stopped months ago. During the time he was active on ibrattleboro, I spoke with him on the phone a couple of times, but since then I have lost his telephone number.

Chemtrails: What Are They Spraying and Why? Who Are They?

I am looking for a local group which has found a way to fight chemtrails. I want to write letters but do not want to re invent the wheel. Would like to band with other people and do something. Meanwhile, I found this international group and their chemtrail documentary.

Hearing at Retreat Farm Yesterday?

I was just looking up schedule at Retreat Farm and saw notice there was a hearing there yesterday. When you look at the map on the website it shows at least one new building up in the forest, and I know the plans there when I left were to turn the main barn into an upscale shopping area and cafe, and to add a lodge, and LOTS more parking right along our beautiful road across from the Retreat Meadows. There are some great things happening there but I'm afraid some public oversight and interest is needed to make sure the character and history are better protected.

Monumental Questions

The events in (and following) Charlottesville are myriad and complex. There is a stew of issues bubbling and boiling. To name but a few: race, Neo-Nazism, history, culture, the Civil War, monuments, art, speech, accountability, Trump & Co., ancestors, and many more.

The easy part (for most people) is denouncing the hate, white supremacy, and violence. I can pat myself on the back and tell myself that’s not me, that’s not what I believe, and I’m against it in all forms. I very much dislike hatred, and work to make the world a better place as best I can.

The harder part is figuring out what to do about the rest of it.

Ukraine Doings

So…

The bloodless annexation of Crimea by Russia after an overwhelmingly favorable plebiscite by the Crimeans themselves was illegal.

But..

Our overthrow of the legitimately elected government of the Ukraine, AKA “Regime Change” (as revealed by Victoria Nuland’s “Yats is the one” public phone call) was a legitimate humanitarian endeavor.

Ever Get A Call Like This?

Hello, my name’s Mike and I’m calling you from “Vindows” Technical department.  (Misspelling deliberate).

He goes on something like: Your Vindows has notified us that hackers have broken into your computer and are attempting to remove funds from your bank account. Ve are here to help you.

The bad news is, HE is the hacker and if you do what he tells you, he’ll clean out your bank account(s).

What Do Electric Car Owners Do If They Run Out Of Fuel?

An electric car was on the side of 91 the other day with no one around. If it had been a gasoline powered vehicle I might have thought the owner was walking to a gas station with a can to fill up. But what do electric car owners do if they run out of fuel on the highway? Carry a battery to a charging station? Pay for towing?

In a Pickle

A grave situation I have encountered. I am hoping to get my story out there for help.

I was working for a long standing and real Vermont based company here in town. On December 11th 2016 while loading a truck I felt my left hip buckle as I was trying to get a 400 pound stack over the dock plate. I really thought at that moment had I stayed in that position for a split second longer I would have had the hip give out.

I did finish my shift and did not report it that day. I was working two extra shifts that week, getting ready for Christmas with my Kids. I had been working 67 hour weeks for the whole month. I went home on the 11th, had to be back for my last shift of the 6 day work week in 12 hours. I went in, worked that shift, sore and stiff as usual and got home on the 12th. I had the 13th off, my only day off before signing up for my last 6 day work week before the Holiday. I woke up in real pain and went in and reported it to my HR Director at work. We filled out the accident report with my Supervisor and I was told to go to they're vendor to be looked at.

How Can I Tell If I Have Russian Hackers In My Social Networking Account?

How Can You Tell If You Have A "Russian" Hacker?

In 2014 my Twitter account became full of peculiar tweets in a foreign language that I did NOT write!
I put some of these tweets into Google Translator http://translate.google.com

They appeared to be "Russian", but the content of the few I read did not seem to be anything but harmless advertisements.

Can You Recommend a Good Home Pest Inspector/Expert Near Brattleboro?

I specifically need a "wood-boring insect specialist" to evaluate and potentially treat an area that may or may not have carpenter ants. Would love to hear of others' experiences with this in Brattleboro -- recommendations welcome if you've hired them and been happy with the results! Thanks.

Dump Trump - President Pence?

I hear calls to "Dump Trump" and wonder - is this what is really wanted? If Trump goes, we have President Pence.

Is that truly the preference? If not, what's the follow-up plan?

Holiday lights at the 5/9/91 Roundabout?

Just thought of this as I was driving around the Roundabout this morning.  One day in December when I was driving by, there were a few people in the center of the roundabout setting up what looked like big stars full of lights.  But then they weren't there the next time I drove by.  Does anyone know about this?  Did some people set it up without permission or encounter a lack of electricity?

For perspective, I was involved in the past in the Putney Road Business Association, which became the North End Business Association, which has now been pretty much inactive due to lack of leadership and shortage of volunteers.  We used to do the luminaria around the intersection in the 90s, and for a year or two we put lights on the (at the time very small) trees in the middle of the roundabout.  We had an arrangement with either the town or the state for electricity.
