Rt 9 Accidents and Delays Tuesday Afternoon

The twitter is reporting accidents along Rt 9 - a truck stuck near Sunset Lake Rd, and near Searsburg/Rt 8 there are stuck cars and trucks.

The Windham County Sheriff recommends staying in unless it is an emergency. If you do drive, go slowly and keep a safe distance between cars.

Tractor Trailers having trouble near Wilmington, too. Expect delays.

Rt 9 closed

WKVT reports that RT 9 is now closed.

RT 9 reopens at Searsburg

Rt 9 now open, according to state police.

Warnings that other roads may be closed, and that salt is slow to work on roads at this temperature.

Does anybody know if the Marlboro- Brattleboro section of route 9 is open yet?

From what I've heard, Ames Hill (the usual alt route when rt.9 is blocked) is hazardous tonight.

Thanks for any news!
