New Executive Director at Green Mountain Crossroads

Green Mountain Crossroads Announces New Executive Director

Brattleboro, VT (05/01/14) – The Green Mountain Crossroads (GMC) Board of Directors has appointed HB Lozito as its new Executive Director. Green Mountain Crossroads works to strengthen the community, conversation, and identity of rural LGBTQ folks in Southern Vermont and throughout the region. Lozito joins GMC with varied experience as a grassroots organizer, advocate, designer, educator, and leader in the LGBTQ community. The Board is thrilled to have Lozito join GMC and eager to see them succeed in this new position.

Lozito comes to GMC having spent the last three years as co-founder of the Brattleboro-based HomoPromo Event Collective. In addition to their ongoing work with HomoPromo, and Morningside Shelter, Lozito will be taking on the Executive Director position to direct and implement strategy, development, programming, and outreach.

Lozito is a former fellow with Marlboro College’s Get on Board program and has spent nearly a decade working with varied environmental organizations such as Ecotrust, Portland, OR; BuildingGreen, Brattleboro, VT; City Slicker Farms, Oakland, CA; and Northwest Service Academy, Portland, OR. Lozito currently serves as a Senior Fellow with the nationally-based Environmental Leadership Program.

Join us at a public event, June 12th at The Backside Cafe to welcome Lozito to Green Mountain Crossroads and to celebrate building an even stronger, more vibrant LGBTQ community in Southern Vermont. Find more details on our website greenmountaincrossroads.org, or reach HB Lozito directly at hb@greenmountaincrossroads.org.
