Brattleboro Area Hospice to Host 6th Death Cafe in Wilmington

Brattleboro Area Hospice will host it's 6th Death Café in Wilmington. This free event will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2-4 pm at Dot’s Restaurant at 3 West Main St.

Part of an international movement that started in Europe (www.deathcafe.com), the Death Cafe is dedicated to taking death out of the closet in order to discuss it publicly.

The first five Death Cafes have been a tremendous success. People have reported them as comfortable, supporting a full range of emotions – from tears to raucous laughter, easier than anticipated, energy charged, inspirational and fun. Not a support group or counseling session, or even a workshop . . . simply people sharing respectful, thought provoking, life affirming conversation in a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere while sipping drinks and munching treats.

Event and munchies are free. Everyone is welcome, but space is limited to 20 people. Our previous Death Cafes generally reach the maximum number for the space available. RSVP’s Required. Please call Ryan Murphy at Brattleboro Area Hospice @ 257-0775, Ext. 106, or ryan.murphy@brattleborohospice.org for more info.
