Brattleboro's Wildest Arts and Music Organization, The Future Collective, Launches Online Fundraiser

The Future Collective launched their online fundraiser on June 25, 2014 through the website INDIEGOGO. The link to their online fundraiser is here.

The Future Collective is a non-profit, volunteer-run group of Brattleboro young people founded in January 2012. They have hosted many events ranging from all-ages music shows, community art openings, a weekly radio show, dance parties, ice cream giveaways, outdoor cabarets, child art and music making, outdoor adventures, peer-supported mental health workshops, community art nights, collaboration with other local organizations, and our annual 3-day music and arts festival, Future Fest.

This past January, The Future Collective started renting an art studio in downtown Brattleboro. Having a consistent space opened up many possibilities for the young organization, and since then, they have been working nonstop: holding multiple events per week and managing the finances of a consistent space. They are hoping to make a year's worth of rent for their space at 17 Elliot Street, so that they can focus more on throwing more awesome, financially accessible events.

The Future Collective is a group from and for a diverse Brattleboro community working to provide fun, accessible, inclusive, anti-oppressive, community minded spaces and events that foster creative, political, and personal expression.

Go Future!

It would be nice to see this succeed. I've seen some of the best live, local and regional, music at their events, and something interesting is always in the works.

If you can, tell your rich aunt or uncle to cut them a single check… : )
