Ides of March

Ides of March

March 15, 2017 in downtown Brattleboro at about 9 pm, looking south at the clean sidewalks and wall of snow about to be removed by DPW.

Sunny Ski Jump

Sunny Ski Jump

A nice shot through the trees just before the jumping on Sunday. I like the trees.

Night Plow on Acorn

Night Plow on Acorn

Continuing my snow plowing series. Here is a plow doing a bit of work on Acorn Lane and side paths.

Forest Fire Plowing

Forest Fire Plowing

Here is some late night plowing on Forest Street. I like the way the plow lights have a fire-y effect to them.

Tip for pedestrians during snowstorm - it's easy to walk around if you follow a plow. Just don't get plowed.

A look at the edge of a recently-plowed Cedar Street during the snowstorm of Feb 9, 2017. Taken about 1 pm!

A snowy hemlock on December 12, 2016.

Snow Curves

Snow Curves

Here's a photo from underneath some snow that was slowly sliding off a roof. The roof had some grooves in it, causing this interesting pattern to form as it moved further from the edge.

Taken at night.

Stumping For Snow

Stumping For Snow

Here are a few logs on end, with the snow logs on top of them. 12" plus, I'd say.

Cats Tracks

Cats Tracks

Cat tracks in the snow on Thanksgiving. Had to go out and take a look, just like all of us.

Snow Sticks

Snow Sticks

Many lovely snow photo opportunities this morning, as the heavy snow sits awaiting a breeze on branches about town.

Thanksgiving Snow

Thanksgiving Snow

I took this picture the day before Thanksgiving, 2014.  The birds were thankful for both millet and sunflowers!  Photo by Lise LePage.
