Migration

Nighthawk

Nighthawk

From a birdwatch of the fall nighthawk migration, Westminster Station, August 30th.  1,664 nighthawks were counted between 5 & 8 PM that night, and a bunch of migrating raptors, too.  6,422 were counted over about a week's time this year in this location alone, which is very comforting.  Donald Clark of Grafton was responsible for the count.  Details here.  Don also works on the raptor migration on Putney Mountain.  Volunteers are always welcome. <sapsbks@gmail.com>
