An after-school program for ages 11-18 at InSight and around Brattleboro.
Mondays 4 – 6pm, 10 weeks October 2 through December 18

This program will integrate digital photography into nature exploration and discovery, through a collaboration between In-Sight Photography and BEEC. We will use the camera as a lens to investigate the natural world as it changes through autumn into winter. The late afternoon program will also enable us to explore nature photography in the early winter darkness.

KIDS!!! Fun Foods from Around the World: Cyprus

In this class, we will learn about this small eastern
Mediterranean island off the coast of Lebanon and Israel.  It has a rich
history and its food is influenced by many surrounding cultures including
Italy, Turkey and Syria. We will make a traditional sweet and sour lemony soup
with zucchini and celery. Come ready to practice your knife skills!

Co-op Kitchen to make something delicious honoring the Vermont Harvest of the
Month: Summer Squash.

Green-Up Girl: Living a Green Lifestyle

VINS-Nesting Season – Raptors and Their Homes

aren’t the only creatures that build amazing homes for their families!
Nesting season is the most important time of the year for bird
populations, and we can take actions that help them out. Join VINS to
learn what to do if you find a baby bird, and consider becoming a
citizen scientist through conservation projects like NestWatch. You’ll
find out what bird parents are busy doing at this of time year, and meet
three live raptors up close to learn from the experts themselves. This
event will be geared towards kids and their families, although other
adults may also attend.
