15th Annual Heirloom Apple Day at Scott Farm Orchard

Scott Farm Orchard hosts its 15th annual celebration of heirloom apples, fresh, baked and squeezed! Taste some of our 120 varieties as our orchardist, Zeke Goodband, talks about the enlightening history of these unique fruits- at 10AM, 12PM and 2PM (no charge). Heirloom apples and cider will be available for sale. Whetstone Cider Works hard cider samples and Rigani Wood-Fired Pizza available. The You Pick Orchard and Farm Market will be open.

Brooks Memorial Library's All-Day Birthday party!

In case of RAIN, we'll move the potluck to: The Root Social Justice Center, 28 Williams St, near bottom of Union Street hill, and corner of Elliot St.

Members and prospective members are welcome.

Please bring a dish to share if you can, and self-log a Time Trade hour or two for each main dish you bring. Potlucks are often quick facilitators of great trade connections, so bring an offer or request to share, too!

The film also examines our human relationship with soil, the use and misuse of soil in agriculture, deforestation and development, and the latest scientific research on soil’s key role in ameliorating the most challenging environmental issue of our time. Gong Bath (Immersion)-Sound Healing-"Spirit, Energy & Power of the Gong"

Percussionist, gong specialist and longtime sound healing practitioner, Stephan Brandstatter will be offering his monthly Gong Bath (Immersion) & Sound Healing at the healixyoga studio at 452 So. Main St., Brattleboro, Vt. on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 6:30-7:30PM. Please arrive at least 5-15 minutes early. Starting promptly at 6:30, there will be two immersions with a brief quiet time break in between for stretching, reflection, contemplation & afterwards time for any discussion. Mats, pillows, cushions, cushioned bricks, blankets and eye covers are all supplied. Bring water or a liquid if you need.

Rally for Science Brattleboro

The Rally for Science Brattleboro will gather people together to talk about science, education, and environmental challengers facing modern human societies.

Events include science presentations and demonstrations throughout the afternoon. Special attention will be focused on promoting STEM (Science, Technology, Education, and Mathematics) education.

This gathering of people invested in the future of science and our common environment is an official satellite event of the national March for Science, being held in hundreds of cities around the world.

Lunar New Year of China, Korea, and Vietnam

Asian Cultural Center of Vermont (ACCVT)
presents Lunar New Year of China, Korea and Vietnam. It’s
the 15th annual celebration of its kind in southeastern Vermont. It's a potluck.
This year we feature Li Fei Osbourne who will share a dance of the Yi people
(one of the Chinese ethnic minorities) and then teach us all a Yi dance.  Join us to dance with the Dragon, do group
calligraphy, join in a Korean tug-of-war, make a paper lantern or some origami,
and sing a New Year's song from East Asia. You don’t have to be Asian or know
anything about Asia to participate!  We
usher in the year of the Red Fire Rooster, a year of hard work and patience as you
progress toward your goals. Don’t miss the chance to dance with the 30-foot
