United We Ski

Join us for fun filled evening to benefit Living Memorial Park Snow Sports. The evening begins at 4:00, with a raffle. Prizes include local goods, gift certificates, ski tickets and a pair of custom made skis, by Silo Skis, of Richmond, VT. The raffle is followed by a screening of the film United We Ski, by the Vermont based Tbar Films. All proceeds from the event go to Living Memorial Park Snow Sports.

A BMAC Solstice Celebration

English Vinglish - Family Film at the Brattleboro Film Festival

The story of a wife and mother made to feel insecure by her family and society for not knowing English. The film is a lighthearted yet touching treatment of Shashi's transformational journey. On a trip to Manhattan for a wedding, she decides to enroll in an English language class and meets a host of new people who teach her to value herself beyond the narrow perspective of her family. Shot mostly in New York, the film captures the ongoing challenge of people all over the world as they struggle with the English language. Hilarious and sensitive, this film marks the comeback of India's biggest female star, Sridevi, and so a bit of Bollywood comes to America…. Excellent vexcellent!

This festive 5K will take runners through the haunted hills of Guilford Vermont on Saturday October 26th. Registration opens at 8:30 on School Road in Guilford. There will be a costume contest at 9am, a free 1 mile fun run at 9:30 and the Creepy Crawl 5K at 10am. All proceeds will benefit the Guilford Central School Sports Programs.

2013 Wellness in Windham Health Festival

The Wellness in Windham Health Festival exhibitors and participating organizations will be there to share useful health & wellness information to help you and your loved ones lead healthier, more active lives. The three largest healthcare organizations in Windham County — Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, Brattleboro Retreat and Grace Cottage Hospital — are working together to present this exciting and informative event.

The New England Center for Circus Arts presents the graduation performances of the 10 month Intensive Professional Training program. The 15 comedic characters portray their talents in feats of aerial artistry, acrobatic accomplishments and grammatical guffaws. Weaving stories through mad-lib induced adventures, they present the culmination of 10 months of training in circus proportions, with a bit of help from the audience to tell their tales. Family Fun Run in Guilford

Running can be a fun and fast way to enjoy family fitness.

Family Fun Runs will be held on Saturday Mornings at 9:30am at Guilford Central School. After a group stretch, participants will have a choice of running 1, 2 or 3 miles. This event is for all ages. This is not a timed event, this is purely for family fun and fitness. Attending fun runs is an easy way to train for 5K races. This event is open to the public.

Timson Hill Preschool Spring Festival

Timson Hill Preschool will host their Annual Spring Festival For All Ages Celebrating 25 Years! on Saturday May 18th, 10:00am to 1:00pm, rain or shine.

This popular, family-friendly event includes fun activities for everyone, including a petting zoo, pony rides, a bounce house, an antique fire engine and truck, a variety of arts and crafts and indoor activities, a tug–of-war game for adults; a caricature artist; an outdoor playground, as well as hamburgers, hotdogs and baked goods. And last but not least, at 11am and 12pm, the Vermont Natural History Museum will give a special presentation of live raptors!

Admission is $5.00 per person or $10.00 per family, and all proceeds go to celebrating and fostering continued success of this preschool program.
