Parenting Teens Wisely class
will be offered by the Brattleboro Area

Prevention Coalition at the Marlboro College Graduate Center in


This free 3 hour workshop teaches parents skills and techniques to

help them better understand and deal with their children ages 10 to 19.

Every parent who deals with a teen should take this course.”

Babes in the Woods

Children (ages 3-5) and their caregivers are invited to take a morning hike to meet the trees and enjoy the woods at BEEC. Through activities and explorations we will notice differences between tree species and look for clues of who lives in or nearby different trees. We will use all of our senses to experience the wonders of the woods in early spring.

This is offered for the Month of the Young Child, in association with the Windham Childcare Association.

Youth Services' Summer Camp Fair

Brattleboro, VT- Youth Services will host their Annual Summer Camp Fair on Friday, April 4, on Gallery Walk Night from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Robert H. Gibson River Garden in downtown Brattleboro.

Many summer camp providers will supply activities and entertainment for the children. The public is encouraged to take advantage of this great opportunity to arrange a fun-filled summer for their off-spring while being entertained. To entice the public to stop in, Youth Services is holding two free drawings for $100 credit toward a camp of the winner’s choice.
“Our Summer Camp Fair gives parents the chance to register their children for many of the camps listed in our Summer Resources Calendar in one convenient location,” notes Julie Davenson, Youth Services’ Executive Director.

"The Pirate, the Princess and the Pea" Sails Into Putney!

A thrilling voyage chock full of sea monsters, shipwrecks and shenanigans. A pirate and a princess are on a treasure hunt, searching for the same clues. The princess stays one step ahead by tricking the pirate at every turn. But when the princess is in danger from a giant octopus, she quickly discovers the benefits of having a loyal crew! Crabgrass Puppet Theatre’s newest creation features colorful scenery, multiple styles of puppetry, and original pirate songs! Arrgh!
