Lunar New Year of China, Korea and Vietnam

Asian Cultural
Center of Vermont (ACCVT) presents the Lunar New Year Festival of China,
Vietnam, Korea, . Sunday, Feb 18th, 1-3:30 at The Brattleboro Museum
and Art Center (10 Vernon St). Celebrate the year of the Brown Earth Dog with a
pot-luck, crafts, calligraphy, and a Dragon parade. This year we feature Li Fei
Osbourne who will share a
dance of the Yi people (one of the Chinese ethnic minorities) and then teach us

A weekend of fun and education for the whole family, built around the world-famous, agriculturally-themed Strolling of the Heifers Parade. Come down to Brattleboro’s historic Main Street on Saturday, June 2!

2018 Parade theme: MAY THE FARMS BE WITH YOU

The parade kicks off at 10 am sharp with scores of lovable heifer calves, groomed, decorated and led by future farmers. The heifers are followed by farm animals, bands, tractors, floats, clowns and surprises.

Follow the parade crowd to the 11-acre Slow Living Expo for food, entertainment, animals, tractors, music and family fun, plus demonstrations, craft show and exhibits related to our mission of farm and food innovation.

Family Snowshoe Adventure

Young, old, small, tall -- this is a snowshoe adventure for the whole family! We'll venture out on the trails and return for a campfire lunch with hot dogs, veggie dogs, bread on a stick, marshmallows, apples, cheese, and hot cider.

Sleigh/Hay Rides

Harvest Festival

The Neighborhood Schoolhouse Annual Enchanted Halloween 2017

On Sunday, October 15th 2017, The Neighborhood Schoolhouse is hosting its 8th annual fair, Enchanted Halloween. Enchanted Halloween is a fundraiser that supports the school’s scholarship program. The event is family-friendly and features a bouncy house, a magical mansion, pumpkin painting, face paint, scarecrow making, tarot reading, and magical Hogwarts themed crafts.
Tickets can be purchased at the Kids Playce, The Neighborhood Schoolhouse website, or at the gate. Ticket pre-sales begin October 1st.
$5 for children, $8 for adults, and no family will pay more than $25

9th Annual Fairy House Festival

Fairy House Festival, Grafton, Vermont

The Nature Museum presents the 9th annual Fairy House Festival on Sat, Sept 23 and Sun. Sept 24, 10-4p in the forests of Grafton.

Visitors will follow a nature path sprinkled with charming fairy houses, then return to The Nature Museum to create their own fairy dwellings in the gardens.

Hands-on crafts, face painting and bubbles round out this interactive and magical experience for all. Light refreshments will be available for purchase and picnicking is encouraged.

Do you want to help our native bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds? Plant them a garden of native flowers! Landscape designer Tom Sullivan will lead this kid-friendly family workshop. While the kids make seed balls, paint signs, and play pollination-themed games, adults will learn the essentials of creating an attractive garden that native pollinators will love.

Hospital Fair Day

Voted a Top 10 Summer event by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce, and called “New England at its finest” by the Boston Globe, the free annual fair features activities to please the whole family: a live auction, bargain booths, bingo, pony rides, face painting, jewelry, food, kids games, a costume booth for kids, a dunking booth, lots of good food, and more. The Fair also includes an Arts & Crafts Show, which will be held in the Townshend Church. All fine arts and crafts pieces in the show will be for sale.

Fair Day is a major fundraiser that helps the hospital purchase needed equipment. Bring cash for booth activities. Live auction and art show accepts cash, checks, and credit cards.
