Auxiliary VOD/Patriot's Pen Dinner/Dance

VFW Post #1034 Auxiliary will be hosting their yearly Voice Of Democracy/Patriot's Pen Award and Dinner/Dance, Saturday Nov. 18th.

Doors open at 5 pm, dinner will be served at 6 pm. Dinner will be cottage cheese, pineapple brown sugar ham, baked potato, veg., roll, and dessert. Cost is $10 per person for the dinner/dance, and $5 per person for the dance only after the meal is over.

The Colt 45 Band will be playing.

Veteran's Day Ceremony

Halloween Contra Dance in Putney

Join us for the Halloween dance at Pierce's Hall in East Putney! The hall will be decked out in its Halloween glory, costumes are encouraged (but not required), and the band will be dishing up some creepy tunes along with the classic contra standards.

Northern Harmony

A unique world music choir based in Vermont, Northern Harmony comes to Marlboro at the end of a two-month tour through the UK, France, Switzerland, Germany and the northeastern US. The company of sixteen singers, including Marlboro student Clayton Clemetson, presents a thrilling mix of world harmony traditions including South African songs and dances, traditional polyphony from Georgia, Corsica, and the Balkans, American shape-note singing and quartet gospel, and renaissance motets. Through 17 European tours since 1993, Northern Harmony has won a wide reputation for their remarkable command of the different singing styles and timbres appropriate to these different traditions. The singers are primarily seasoned young graduates of Village Harmony singing programs.

Sandglass is holding a fundraising crankie celebration!

The event will encompass live performances, an auction of original hand painted crankies by local artists, and a lively reception. Sandglass is looking forward and in the process of implementing a strategic plan to create a sustainable organization that can continue to serve this community, create new work, and build bridges in our own culture and abroad.
Performers include Sandglass founders, Eric Bass and Ines Zeller Bass, Molly and Ellen Gawler of the Gawler Family Band, Brendan Taaffe, Kali Quinn, Donald Saaf, Trudi Cohen and John Bell. Hand painted Crankies by Ines Zeller Bass, Jana Zeller, David Rohn, Donald Saaf, among others.

Dinner/Dance/Cancer Auction

The Brattleboro VFW Post #1034 Auxiliary will be having their annual Cancer Auction Dinner/Dance Saturday Oct. 28th.
Dinner will be coleslaw, stuffed chicken breast, mashed potato, gravy, green beans and dessert.
Band will be Chicken Wire.
Cost is $10 per person for the dinner/dance. $5 per person for the dance after meal is over.
Doors will be opening at 4 pm, dinner is served at 5 pm, and auction starts at 6 pm.
