Brattleboro VFW Post #1034 will be having a dinner/dance Saturday, Oct. 14th.
Doors open at 5 pm, and dinner is served at 6 pm followed by Playin' Possum Band.
Dinner will be a salad, pot roast, boiled potatoes, gravy, carrots, rolls and chocolate cake.
Cost is $10 per person for the dinner/dance, and $5 per person for the dance only after the meal is served.

The Kornguth's 8th Annual Soapbox Derby

The Kornguth's 8th Annual Soapbox Derby will be barreling through Brattleboro, VT once again on Sunday, August 27th with all the same gravity, and none of the gravitas.

Described as “NASCAR for Artists” this event is sure to please anyone with a heartbeat. If you like local bands, local art, thrills, chills & spills, you’ll love The Kornguth’s Annual Soapbox Derby.

Each gravity powered car is a unique expression of individuality, combining engineering daring-do with creative vision.

We have some amazing bands blowing up the stage this year. Carton (from Windsor, VT) will be headlining. Also from Windsor, VT Faux In Love will rock you through intermission. And for the Star Wars fans, there will be a light saber combat demonstration to stir your midichlorians.
