Rock River Players' Annual Cabaret

Date & Time:
Feb 9 2018 - 7:30pm - 9:30pm

WILLIAMSVILLE The Rock River Players (RRP) present Love Me! a Valentine's Cabaret, Friday, February 9 and Saturday, February 10 at 7:30 PM at the South Newfane Schoolhouse, intersection of Dover and Auger Hole Roads, South Newfane, VT.
Director Annie Landenberger notes that "the cabaret, with deep roots in France and Germany in the early 20th century, has historically been a trend-setting form of entertainment featuring a variety of performance styles for an audience that's typically enjoying from small café tables, which we'll have." She adds: "Cabarets are typically adult-focused with a heavy dose of subversion. The cabaret has been a hot bed of creative energy for decades. With a collection of scenes, songs, satire, and surprises –and in keeping with the mission of the cabaret-- the RRP evening promises to be as full of laughs as it is of edgy provocation and sweet sounds."

The RRP's second annual cabaret features Rock River Players known to area audiences from past RRP productions: Sara Vitale, Stewart McDermet, Bill Lincoln, Annie Landenberger, T. Breeze Verdant, David Roberts, Tino Benson, as well as several newcomers: Rosalind Fritz, Mike and Miriam Kelly, Don Tretler Alina Abraham, Kane Vitale, Louie Vitale, and Louie Vitale, Jr. Admission is $10 and includes sweet and savory treats. Cabaret goers are asked to bring their own beverages. For reservations text 802-451-6283, call 802-348-7156 #2 or write verbatimvt@gmail.com.
