An Introduction to Iranian Cinema

Windham World Affairs Council will present “An Introduction to Iranian Cinema,” a talk by Professor Ida Meftahi, the first event in our new series “Understanding Iran through Film.” Professor Meftahi is a Visiting Assistant Professor in Contemporary Iranian Culture and Society at the University of Maryland. In her presentation she will show and discuss some clips representative of Iranian film that help the audience increase their understanding of Iranian society and culture.This talk is free and open to the public.

Before the talk, at 6:00 pm, we will offer a delicious Iranian Dinner (by RSVP only) with a suggested minimum donation of $10. If you plan to attend the dinner, please RSVP by Sept. 12 to: windhamworldaffairscouncil@gmail.com
