Using Social Media To Promote Your Message (The Right Way!)

Date & Time:
Oct 11 2017 - 5:00pm - 7:00pm

Whether you're trying to promote a personal or professional blog, it isn't easy making your voice heard. Learn the in's and out's of social media promotion tactics in this workshop — you'll get the basics of running a professional Facebook page for your blog or organization, learn how to promote your own blog post content, and learn the best ways to get involved in the conversation on Twitter. We'll also cover Facebook algorithms, censorship on social media, and how to know what "real news" is.

Workshop presenter, Bernie Smigel, is a Content Creator at Mondo Mediaworks, a Brattleboro-based digital marketing agency that specializes in content development. He publishes blog posts, website content, and manages multiple Facebook and Twitter accounts to build brand awareness for clients.

If you attended, "Blogging From The Ground Up: Writing For Your Brand Or Personal Blog" workshop in September, you will want to make sure to follow that up with this one.

Media Mentoring Project workshops are sponsored by Vermont Independent Media, The Commons and collaborations with local businesses like Mondo Mediaworks.

We make our news available at no cost, but that doesn't mean it comes free. Reader memberships and donations make a huge difference and help all Vermont Independent Media programs, including The Commons and the Media Mentoring Project.
