Brown Bag Lunch Series: Terry Hauptman: Poetry Reading and Talk about her Songline Scrolls

Date & Time:
Oct 26 2017 - 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Terry Hauptman will read a few poems and then focus on The Songline Scrolls. . .how music, poetry and the way light moves through the body, spiral through each other to create a unified whole. She will answer questions and talk about singular vision, collaboration, and process.

Terry Hauptman's Songline Scrolls are on exhibit at the River Garden thoughout October. The Scrolls illuminate how light travels through the body resonating as dynamic black bands outline internal ambers in figurative forms. These painted scrolls of Fire break traditional boundaries having figures dance through the dimensions of the paper, their visual music representing one continuous glyph.
