Concert by Gili Sharett

Born and raised in Israel, bassoonist Gili Sharett is now based to New York, where she is on the faculty at the Bloomingdale School of Music. She plays with ensembles such as the New York City Ballet and American Symphony, as well as on Broadway, and has commissioned and performed music from contemporary composers including Sheila Silver, Yehezkel Braun, Peter Winkler, and Charles Mason. For this Music for a Sunday Afternoon performance, she will be playing a program of music for the bassoon.
