Apr 9 2017 - 3:00pm - 5:00pm

The John Jorgenson Quintet, led by GRAMMY® Award-winner and three-time Country Music Awards Guitarist of the Year John Jorgenson, performs at the Latchin.

he quintet fuses “gypsy jazz” with elements from Latin, Romanian, Classical, Rock and Greek music, creating their own unique style of “21st Century World Music.” Jorgenson is known for his blistering guitar licks and mastery of a broad musical palette, and has earned a reputation as a world-class musician and guitarist who has collaborated with the likes of Elton John, Luciano Pavarotti, Bonnie Raitt and Bob Dylan. Jorgenson’s performance is part of a collaboration between the Vermont Creative Schools Initiative, the Brattleboro Museum and the teachers and fourth graders in the seven elementary schools in the Windham Central Supervisory Union. Student works will be presented during a celebration of community, creativity and musical virtuosity when Jorgenson comes to the Latchis.
