College 101: For Parents

you concerned about how to help your rising junior or senior apply to
college? Want a timeline or some tips? Come to a brief information
meeting on Monday, March 6th at Brooks Memorial Library from 6:00-7:30
that will cover the basics of what a parent needs to understand about
the college process. This free workshop is facilitated by Julia Taylor,
an independent college counselor and high school educator. This workshop
will include a glimpse at the common application, a checklist for
parents, tips for helping your teen take charge of the application
process, and good resources from VSAC to websites. Snacks and
refreshments will be provided.
