Samirah Evans Annual Leo Party and Concert in Celebration of Her Birthday, in Greenfield

Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center is proud to present regional powerhouse, jazz and blues vocalist Samirah Evans, hosting her annual Leo party and concert on Sunday, Aug. 20, 2017 at 6 p.m. (doors open at 5:30 p.m.). The concert will be held at Hawks & Reed Performing Arts Center, 289 Main St., Greenfield, MA. Advance tickets are $10 and available at http://hawksandreed.com (tickets at the door are $13).

Samirah will be performing a jam session backed by pianist Paul Arslanian, bassist Dave Picchi and drummer Jon Fisher. Special guests will include the NOLABratts Choir singing classic New Orleans R&B.

Samirah Evans relocated from New Orleans following hurricane Katrina, and has been delighting audiences across the Northeast, performing or sharing stages with the likes of Charles Neville, Allman Brothers drummer, Jamoie, Duke Robillard, Dr. John, John Sheldon and Evelyn Harris. Evans is a member of the visiting artist faculty at Williams College, as well as the founder of the NOLABratts choir.
